here were two upsets in the Class A out bracket as the 12th seeded Gates Chili beat the 5th seeded Brockport and the 9th seeded Hilton upset the 8th seeded Rush-Henrietta. Schroeder, Churchville and penfield all won their games as seeded. In Class C all the higher seeded teams won. Moving on are Batavia, Geneva, Midlakes, Haverling and Pal-Mac.

Hilton ended their league season third in Monroe County Division II with a 5-5 record (7-9 overall). Seeded twelfth in the Class A tournament the Cadets lost to Webster Thomas in the first round and finished as seeded. After the new league divisional orientation, Hilton has moved to Division I this season.

A full day of lacrosse games took place in Pittsford today, capped off with a last minute win by the Panthers over Gates Chili 11-10. Nearly everyone was playing on Tuesday as fourteen games were played by Section Five teams. Batavia won their first ever Varsity games (15-10 over the Lightning), Brockport beat C-C (9-5) and Canandaigua beat Penn Yan in a close 5-4 game. McQuaid Jesuit, and Aquinas were GRALL winners and Pittsford, Gates Chili, Fairport, Penfield, R-H and Geneva had easy wins. Newark beat Pal-Mac 11-8, Mynderse took BH (11-9) and Waterloo was the 9-8 winner over Midlakes.

Lafayette scored two goals in the last few minutes of the game and then scored the game winner in the second over time period to give the Section 3 team a 10-9 victory over host Penn Yan. In other games on Friday, Irondequoit remained undefeated with a 7-2 win over C-C, Hilton was a 19-5 winner over Ath/Ody and Aquinas was a 15-8 winner over Eastridge.

# 1631  Monday: Last Day (Almost)

Pittsford beat R-H today and will host Thomas on Tuesday, but the rest of the teams in Section Five are now finished with the regular season. Penfield dodged the bullet again today with a one goal win at Fairport and completed their regular season undefeated. Canandaigua finished with a win taking them to 16-1 with their only loss to Baldwinsville. Brighton finished with a win over Gates Chili and lost only to HF-L (twice) to end their season at 14-2. HF-L finished with a win over Hilton and lost only to Schroeder this season.

# 1630  Saturday: Last Weekend in Regular

It was the last weekend in the regular season and many games were played early to accommodate preparations for proms and balls. Pittsford nearly spoiled Penfield's undefeated season for the second year in a row. Schroeder won a big win against Amherst of Section Six and Brighton had a close win with Churchville-Chili. Meanwhile, Hilton and Spencerport combined for 32 goals in their game.
